At The Refinery we are committed to helping people live in community. Refinery Groups, which consists of Life Groups, Activity Groups, and Classes, is our primary vehicle for doing this. Groups intentionally grow together in faith, friendship, and guide each other in living out our mission of helping people love and follow Jesus for life.
Throughout the year we offer various group sessions that range from 8-10 weeks. Registration for new groups becomes available 1 month before a new session launches. This gives multiple opportunities to join a group and find community each year. Below are listed any live and upcoming group sessions. If we are in the middle of a session be sure to pre-register, ensuring you’re the first to be notified when our new set of groups launch.

We are here to come alongside you as you seek to get connected to our Group community! We have different types of groups for various ages and stages of life including groups for men, women, families, and special interest groups. Check out our Fall Groups that kick-off September 14.

One of the best ways to find a group is to host one! Hosting a group doesn't mean that you have to know everything about the Bible or that you are able to answer everyone's questions. What it does mean is that you are seeking to grow in your faith and in community with others and are able to open up a consistent meeting time and space (your home, coffee shop, etc.) in which to do so. We encourage you to start by praying about others in your circle who God would lead you to start your group with. We are here to support you every step of the way! YES! All adults seeking to join a group need to request to join. This gives clarity to the leader as to who is joining.

You will be notified right away once the leader has accepted your request. You will also be able to view your new group within the Church Center App.

This can happen, especially as groups fill up. It’s possible that the best option is to take the step in starting your own group or waiting until the next session. Either way, contact Pastor Jay for the best next steps.

Yes, but that is always up to the leader. Often when a group session goes well, the leader will see who wants to recommit for the next session, giving each member the opportunity to sign back up. Occasionally, leaders step down or intentionally seek to create new groups. This can leave opportunity for a new leader within the group to step up, or for folks to try a new group themselves.

Groups occur each Spring, Summer and Fall. Our next session begins September 14th, with registration opening August 16th.
